…and we’re back.
On the eve of the new season, a couple of things.
If anyone in the club wants to volunteer to post anything, match reports, social news, rants about their boyfriend, let me know and I’ll set you up with a user who can publish. The site’s been a bit quiet of late, but I’ll try and be a bit more active, and probably set something up so it’s easier to post some pictures and the like.
Twitter: I haven’t been tweeting that much from the club account because, well, nobody follows it. But, it occurred to me that maybe people are still looking at the tweets either direct on the Twitter website or on this site via the magic of the sidebar and the auto posts. It doesn’t seem terribly likely, but you never know, SO if you are on Twitter, please follow and tweet at me occasionally, or if you’re not on Twitter but look at the tweets, let me know. I’ll probably drip a few through when I remember anyway, but there’s not a lot of point if nobody reads them!
Calendar: I’ve updated the calendar with fixtures through to the first week of November to be going on with, as it’s a bit tiresome to tap them into Google, but I’ll add the rest soon. If you spot any errors, do let me know so I can correct them, Rebecca.
Finally, the initial team picks. We’ve got a rather healthy number of members this year and so expect this to change over the weeks as the selectors learn more about the players and the results start to roll in – each week the team captains send the results to the selectors and they are used to help analyse how well individuals and pairings are working. Also, get down to club night to allow the selectors to make better assessments of players between teams, and, if you feel you are in the wrong place, have a word with a selector – they’re not human and they will bite, but that’s the quickest way to get them to re-assess…
